Thank you for your comment, Vena. I’m holding on for the day when Chicago lifts its mandate about proof of vaccination. I know it doesn’t matter what reason I’m not vaccinated; for most people unvaxxed is unvaxxed is unvaxxed. It’s a very painful place to be.

Yes, sometimes the needs of society must come before the needs of the individual. What counts as the common good changes all the time. Right now the common good is causing me to feel like I’m being treated as less than, as a citizen who is unequal to people who are vaccinated. I look forward to when the common good no longer includes everyone being vaccinated against the coronavirus.
