My response was NOT sarcastic. Every word was genuine (I've had this problem of being so genuine that people think I can't possibly be serious). I really am surprised at myself for forgetting that I couldn't have kept menstruating forever anyway. And when I wondered if I should delete the whole piece, I had forgotten that depression was also a big part of my experience. If I ever suggest that I'm stupid, believe me, Kathryn, that's real.
